Bio

Andrea Bilawich’s music is capturing hearts with its fusion of contemporary pop and raw, soulful stories. Blending influences such as Halsey, Adele and Sara Bareilles, the Vancouver, BC singer-songwriter has built a sound all her own.

Andrea has been creating music for as long as she can remember. In 2013, she heard about the passing of Nelson Mandela on the news. Wanting to pay tribute to his extraordinary legacy, she wrote and recorded “We Will Remember,” a song featured on the South African Broadcasting Corporation’s nightly nationwide newscast. In 2018, Andrea released her debut EP, “Sidewalk Chalk;” and in 2019, she put out two new songs, “Love in a Box” and “Now or Never.”

Andrea’s music has aired on radio stations such as CMFM 103.1 and CJMQ 88.9 FM. “Love in a Box” reached the semifinals of the 2018 International Songwriting Competition and spent several weeks at #1 on the Indie Music Channel’s “Radio Cafe Top 10 Countdown,” with host Christopher Ewing noting Andrea’s distinctive voice.

Meanwhile, “Now or Never” was featured in the Canadian Musician Magazine and Making Music Magazine Showcases; it received praise from top music executives after Andrea’s performance at the 2019 Durango Songwriters Expo Singer-Songwriter Showcase. Additionally, Andrea was chosen as Champion in the Arts & Performance Category of the 2019 Outstanding Young Ambassadors Awards, which honour BC youth who make significant contributions to their community.

In May 2020, Andrea released her first full-length album, “Indelible.” This record expresses new aspects of Andrea’s artistic identity, exploring love and loss—all set to a backdrop of soaring melodies and infectious beats. All proceeds from streaming and downloads of this album will go to the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation.
